Prime Bank Limited opened its 128th branch at Shibpur, Narsingdi on 2 December. Chairman of the Bank Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah inaugurated the branch as the Chief Guest. Managing Director and CEO of the Bank Md. Ehsan Khasru presided over the program while Deputy Managing Director Kanti Kumar Saha delivered the welcome address.

In the speech of the Chief Guest, Chairman of the Bank Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah said that Prime Bank has been delivering Islamic banking services along with Conventional banking from the beginning of its operations. The Bank donates 4% of its profit to the Prime Bank Foundation. The Foundation has been playing important role in supporting various social development efforts such as in education by providing stipends to the poor but meritorious students every year and establishing English Medium School; in health by setting up Eye Hospital and in sports by establishing Prime Bank Cricket Club.

Managing Director and CEO of the Bank Md. Ehsan Khasru said that the Deposit and Loan portfolio of the Bank is very strong. He assured that Prime Bank will provide requisite loans to the small & medium entrepreneurs as well as farmers of Shibpur. Keeping the new generation in mind the Bank has started technology based services like Mobile Banking and Internet Banking; besides, the Bank has launched “Prime Cash” which is operated by finger prints for the unbanked people of the country, he further added.

Greeting the guests of the program, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank Kanti Kumar Saha highlighted the products & services of Prime Bank. He said, to facilitate the people of the country to receive foreign remittances sent by their expatriate relatives swiftly and safely the Bank has been setting up exchange houses in different countries of the World.

Spoke on the occasion among the local elites, business representatives and guests were Shibpur Upazila Chairman Fazlur Rahman Fatik Master, renowned businessman Md. Shamsul Islam Mollah, President of Shibpur Upazila Awami League and former Upazila Chairman Harunur Rashid Khan, President of Shibpur Upazila BNP and ex-principal of Shibpur Govt. Shahid Asad College Abdul Mannan Khan, gallant freedom fighter Azizur Rahman Khan Bhulu, Chairman of Masimpur Union Parisad Abul Haris Rikebdar, Secretary to Shibpur Upazila Awami League Farhad Alam Bhuiyan, Chairman of Chokroda Union Parisad Ariful Islam Mridha and Principal of Omardia Senior Madrasa Moulana Abdul Jalil.

The Head of Shibpur branch Noor Mohammad Howlader gave the vote of thanks. The program ended with Milad & Doa Mahfil followed by opening of ATM booth at the branch.
