
Prime Bank Cricket Club Launched
Prime Bank organized an action packed gorgeous program on the eve of launching Prime Bank Cricket Club (PBCC) on 14th May at a city hotel in Dhaka. President of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) AHM Mustafa Kamal MP declared the launch of the club at the occasion as the chief guest. The Chairman of Prime Bank Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah was present as the special guest. Originator of the club, former Chairman of the Bank Azam J Chowdhury also delivered speech on the occasion. Secretary General of PBCC, Vice Chairman of Executive Committee of the Bank Tanjil Chowdhury delivered welcome speech. Chief Executive Officer of Prime Bank Foundation Dr. Iqbal Anwar delivered the vote of thanks. Directors of the Bank, Additional Managing Director, Deputy Managing Directors, other high officials of Prime Bank and Members of the cricket club were also present at the occasion.
Prime Bank has acquired the ownership rights of the Old DOHS Cricket Club of Dhaka Premier Division League in 2011 which will be known as Prime Bank Cricket Club from now on. This is the first step toward the Banks ambition to help and develop cricket in Bangladesh.
The speakers on the occasion said, Prime Bank achieved an outstanding reputation as a sound franchise that has placed it as a leading commercial bank in Bangladesh. It has clearly made its mark in the area of corporate social responsibility with its milestone efforts in nation building in the education, health and sports sectors.
They also hoped that Prime Bank Cricket Club will create an enabling environment in cricket to help cricketers grow mentally, physically and technically. It will also enable the budding cricketers of the country to perform better day by day and will develop them for the international level.
They said, the Bank will establish a state of the art cricket academy based on this club with all the required facilities and technologies and train up the upcoming & talented cricketers of the country. Prime Bank will not only train the cricketers but also will keep them attached with academic institutions for their intellectual growth.
