An Award Giving Ceremony of Prime Bank Foundation was arranged on 28 September, 2011 at BIAM Foundation, Dhaka to handover the stipends of its Education Support Programme. Barrister Rafique-ul-Haque, Senior Advocate, Bangladesh Supreme Court was present as the chief guest and distributed the cheques of 1st installment to the students. Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury and Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed, Educationists, were present at the occasion as the special guests. Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah, Chairman, Prime Bank Limited presided over the award giving ceremony. Amongst others Md. Nader Khan, Former Chairman of the Bank, K. M. Khaled, Chairman, Executive Committee, Prime Bank Foundation, Ehsan Khasru, Managing Director of Prime Bank and Dr. Iqbal Anwar, Chief Executive Officer, Prime Bank Foundation also spoke on the occasion. Father Benjamin Costa, Principal, Notre Dame College, high officials of the Bank and a number of distinguished guests from other banks and corporate houses attended the program.

Apart from the commercial banking operation, Prime Bank Limited through its Foundation is simultaneously playing a pivotal role in the society as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibilities. Prime Bank Foundation is providing long-term financial support to the underprivileged but meritorious students through Education Support Programme which started in 2007. First year the Foundation awarded 170 students, second year 122 students, third year 198 students, fourth year 196 students and this year another 205 students have been awarded. The total recipients of Prime Bank Foundation stipends stood at a total of 891.

This year a total of 205 students from different educational institutions of the country are receiving stipends of Tk. 2,000/- per month for the pursuing their studies in graduation level. Their stipends are expected to be continued till the end of their studies as they have applied for.
